FAQs & resin care instructions

All of our products are handmade with love and care and are one-of-a-kind.

  • Store in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight to help prevent flowers from fading and resin from yellowing.

Avoid getting resin wet when possible (take off jewelry before showering or swimming; take off rings before washing hands). Don’t store your jewelry in humid areas, such as bathrooms. Do not clean resin pieces with harsh chemicals. To clean, wipe with a professional jewelry cleaning cloth.

DO NOT use tables, breakfast trays, or coasters as hot plates. If something warm is accidentally placed on resin and it becomes flexible, move resin to a cool environment to re-harden.

Do not display resin items in a place that gets very hot or in a place that gets prolonged direct sunlight (like a car), as this can cause heat damage and soften or warp the resin.

  • The necklace chains are a tarnish resistant stainless steel. The earring hooks and rings are hypoallergenic brass or stainless steel. The bezels vary, but are alloys.

People have different levels of sensitivities to different metals; if you need a specific type of metal for your metal allergy, special earring hooks can be requested, both for already made pieces and commissions.

For commIssions, we offer the above options as well as sterling silver and gold filled metal findings, chains, and bezels.

  • We believe in highlighting the natural beauty of flowers and, as a result, we use all natural methods of drying flowers and do not use toxic chemicals or artificial dyes. Like anything that has lived, flowers and other natural specimens are delicate and they can change and fade over time, even after being sealed in resin or finished in a frame—that’s how you know they are the real deal!

Even though we use a high quality resin epoxy and use a UV absorbing additive, resin can and will yellow over time; keeping it out of direct sunlight can slow down this process.

For bouquet preservation commission, you’ll find more information about potential changes here.

  • No. While coasters are functional, do not use coasters or tables as hot plates. Placing anything hot on them (including a mug out of the microwave) can cause heat damage and melt the resin. Resin is flexible in extreme heat. Please move to a cooler environment to re-harden.

  • In the occasion that we stock multiple of the same item, there may be slight differences between each piece. Every item is handmade with love using real flowers, mushrooms, and insects. As a result, there are no two identical items available. We make every effort to ensure the beauty of each piece; minor natural blemishes and imperfections can occur and are what make each piece unique.

  • Resin can take up to two weeks to reach a hard cure. Some commissions can be completed in as soon as 2-3 weeks, whereas resin projects that require 3+ layers and bouquet preservation commissions that include 3-4 weeks of flower drying time can take longer. We can give you an estimate and also welcome emails requesting mid-process updates.

  • Nope! All of the insects we use are ethically and sustainably sourced and found already-dead. The only exceptions are the ticks, since it’s best to dispose of them when you find them due to the health risk they pose.

  • Packages may arrive with re-used shipping materials; we know it may not be as pretty, but we do this to try to be more eco-friendly! :)

  • While returns aren't generally accepted, we do wish to hear from you about unusual circumstances. Don't hesitate to reach out to us with questions or concerns and we will try to make it right!

We do offer a small fee for mending services if you accidentally damage your piece. However, if your piece malfunctions with minimal and appropriate wear, we will fix it or replace it for you.

We are not responsible for packages once they’ve been shipped. We do not refund for packages lost or held in transit. Please ensure that your delivery address is secure.
