This is an opportunity to exercise your creativity, learn a new skill, and make one-of-a-kind pieces!
Working with resin epoxy is a lot of fun, but since it requires lots of materials, a well-ventilated space, and multiple days, it’s not a very accessible material to experiment with without making a big commitment. Additionally, it’s toxic while it’s curing, so it’s important to have the proper PPE! In these 1:1 classes, materials are all included (resin epoxy, respirator, gloves, molds, jewelry materials, nature specimens...etc) and rates are a sliding scale of $50-$65 per hour. Since this is a 3 day process (which can be booked at your convenience), you can expect to spend 1.5-3+ hours total spread out across the 3 days. It really depends how much you’d like to make! I’ve had some students only want to make two small items, whereas others choose to make 25+ items.
Day 1: learning how resin works, pouring layer one, and arranging nature
Day 2: pouring layer two
Day 3: finishing pieces into jewelry, keychains, and decor
Days 1 and 2 can be consecutive. Day 3 must be at least 6 days after day 2.
I can also accept a pair of two students for $35 per person per hour or a trio of students for $30 per person per hour.
Due to the nature of working with resin epoxy, students must be ages 12+ and those ages 12-17 must have consent from a guardian who will sign a waiver.
*all materials included, except there is an additional fee to make a breakfast tray or a table due to having to purchase more materials (but you can pick out the wood color for a breakfast tray and the metal color for a table!)
